Transfer from one curriculum to another within the university:
Student can request for a change of major (degree objective) anytime.
Student performance and the admission conditions will be taken in consideration. He/ she must submit a petition to the registrar’s office; otherwise the process will not take place. Student who has been inactive for one semester can request change of major while reactivating his/her application.
Student advisor must be notified with the student plans and wishes for change.
Student should fill a petition form and this petition must be signed by his/her academic advisor.
Student must submit the petition to the registrar’s office.
The registrar’s office will forward the petition along with copy of the student transcript (updated grades) to the department/school responsible.
The department/school committee will decide to accept or reject the student petition.
The advisor in the school to which the student is transferring, has the right to delete, up to three courses required to the old major and not to the new curriculum. This deletion should be done also on the academic student record. For this, the student should submit a petition, signed by his/her advisor and handled to the registrar’s office not later than one semester from change of curriculum. This rule can be applied, if the student did not exercise his/her right to three repeats (the total number of repeats or withdrawal should not exceed three) only grade ‘F’ or ‘D’ can be deleted.
Students, who benefit from the grade deletion policy, cannot have their major changed another time to any major that requires a course grade of which was deleted from the academic transcript.
