ACM Soccer Team

Congratulations to the ACM Soccer Team! They won against the AC Milan Academy on February 12th, 2012 with a final score of 2-1. Great game!

Picture and Painting of the Month

For the month of May two pictures from the Photography Club and two paintings from Arts Club were selected as pictures and paintings of the month. The pictures and paintings were displayed in ACM and AUM for everyone to see on campus.

The Proteges Lecture

Two mentors from The Proteges group gave a lecture at the VDS Theater on Sunday, May 8th explaining to the students the benefits of their 6-week program for young people to improve social, practical, professional, and personal skills through fun activities, interactive discussions, and classes guided by talented mentors.

AUM and ACM Football Teams Participation

The AUM and ACM football teams made their college and university proud in two off-campus tournaments. The coaches Mr. Mohammad Hussari and Mr. Khaled Chaaraoui trained the students and supported them at their various matches.

Arts and Music Festival

The Arts and Music Festival was a great success as students and guests were welcomed with coffee and dates to tour the booths which displayed the works of the Fine Arts Club and Photography Club, at which the club members gladly sold some of their work to their fans. Later, the Music Club put on a show that included music from the East and West.

AUM/ACM Summer BBQ

Students, staff, and faculty had an amazing time with a few games, music performances, and lots of food at the AUM/ACM Summer BBQ organized by combined efforts of the Exhibition and Advertising Club and the Student Activities Center and hosted by 99.7’s Night Ride host, Sandi Ismail.

Make-up Course

The Fashion Club organized a 5-session personal make-up course which taught female students various make-up skills.

Girls’ Soccer Tournament

The Female Sports Club organized an ACM/AUM football tournament on May 15th. Numerous students participated in the tournament, and the final match was won 10-0.

Robotics Competition

Students from the Robotics and Technology Club participated in an exciting robotics tournaments organized by Kuwait University on May 9th. The students showcased their work against other students from different universities.

CSE Clothes Drive

Throughout the first week of May, the Community Service and Environment Club organized a clothes and toys drive in AUM and ACM, and a total of 10 boxes were given to Mubarat Al Aamal Al Khayriya in Riqa.

Recycling on Campus

The Community Service and Environment Club has kick-started a recycling campaign on campus to help contribute in preserving the environment. The club was responsible for placing various bins around campus to collect recyclable items such as paper, cans and bottles. Look out for these bins on campus and help in saving your environment.

Robotics and Technology Club

The Robotics and Technology Club is the newest club on campus. If you are interested in robots and smart technology, then join this club and learn about the latest in robotics technology. This club is open for registration to all students. Visit the Students Activities Center for more information.

Environment Lecture

In celebration of the Environment Month (23 March – 25 April), the Environment Public Authority (EPA) in Kuwait gave two lectures at the ACM VDS Theater on the 5th and the 19th of April, 2011. The lectures discussed ways in which we can help protect and keep our environment clean and healthy.

IT– Winner of ACM Football Cup

The Soccer Club organized an ACM football tournament. Students from the same major played others from another major for the title of the cup winner. The final match was between IT and Marketing, and IT won the title 3 – 1.

National and Liberation Day Celebration

The Exhibition and Advertising Club organized a full-day celebration for the National and Libration Day of Kuwait. The event was full of fun and entertainment for everyone; from fun and games to live performance of national songs and booths selling hand-made gift items in celebration of this honorable occasion.

Beach Clean-up

The Community Service and Environment Club organized a beach clean-up day. As part of their responsibility to help better their environment, the club members and other volunteers participated in the field trip where they cleaned the shores of Kuwait.

Soccer Tournament

The Soccer Club organized two very successful and competitive soccer tournaments for AUM and ACM EPP students. The two champions from each tournament will play in a final match against each other to announce the ultimate EPP Soccer Champion.

Plays

The Theater Club performed two magnificent plays to a full-house audience. The two plays were a great success due to student collaboration and hard work. The club members all took part in producing the two plays and each and every one of them shone like a brilliant star!

International Food Fair

The Exhibition and Advertising Club organized an International Food Fair Day, in which numerous restaurants representing various countries participated. Restaurants representing China, Japan, USA, Lebanon, and Kuwait among others were part of this grand event. The fair included cooking competitions for the students as well as a competition between two professional chefs.
