Business Programs – Financial Services
“The field of finance deals with the concepts of time, money and risk and how they are interrelated. It also deals with how money is spent and budgeted.”
Program Overview & Objectives
The objective of the Financial Services Program at the American College of the Middle East (ACM) is to develop the foundation for individuals to become professional financial services practitioners. They will be able to build practices in financial planning, investments & securities, and treasury management.
The program is designed to provide an overview on the various financial services organizations, their service offerings, and the essential role they play within the economy. Our curriculum is built on solid synergy of various business theories and financial techniques. Students will gain applied knowledge and on-job skills through internships, projects, hands-on activities, and related industry assignments.
As students graduate, and professional development continues, the major also prepares students to join an undergraduate education leading to a Bachelor degree in finance. In addition the graduates have a choice of pursuing technical advanced certificates and diplomas.
Career Opportunities
Graduates will be well suited to work in financial services jobs in a variety of financial organizations including banks, investment companies, and insurance companies. They will also be able to apply their skills to develop a successful independent financial services practice.
