ACM Pre-College Program
Pre-College Program
English Preparatory Program
The English Preparatory Program (EPP) plays a vital role in preparing students for undergraduate studies at ACM. Through the provision of intensive English language instruction by means of a carefully designed curriculum, students’ needs are meticulously addressed to ensure academic success at undergraduate level.
EPP is a full-year program, which focuses on developing students’ language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking as well as on associated grammar and vocabulary encountered in academic discourse. A learner-centered approach is employed whereby students participate in extensive language practice through theme-based units and develop critical thinking skills under the supervision and guidance of highly qualified instructors.
EPP students are supported through the Academic Excellence Center, Writing Club and e-learning resources that assist in improving students’ English language core skills. EPP further facilitates students’ character development and promotes autonomous learning which are fundamental to enabling undergraduate studies. The EPP program is for students who have not met the admission criteria for direct entry to ACM. Please refer to the Admission page for more details.
