“Pink October” at ACM
On the occasion of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”, the American College of the Middle East (ACM) organized an event on campus to spread awareness about breast cancer and the preventive measures one can take.
Since early detection can help fight the disease, ACM set up a booth to educate the campus community about the importance of doing regular checkups and mammogram tests. Students and the campus community wore pink as a symbol of support.
Spreading awareness about breast cancer during Pink October through educational and engaging activities became an annual tradition at ACM. This event goes in line with the College’s social responsibility efforts to spread awareness regarding health-related matters among students, faculty, and staff.
