ACM Introduces Civil Engineering Technology Program

The American College of the Middle East (ACM) has introduced a new Diploma Program in Civil Engineering Technology in its Department of Engineering and Technology. The Civil Engineering Technology curriculum covers a wide array of subjects to provide students with the theoretical and practical skills related to Civil Engineering and Technology, among which are the following: Graphics for Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering Construction, Hydraulics, Quantity Estimating, and modern mechanics. Students graduating with a Civil Engineering Technology degree are fit for careers in planning and designing projects. Such projects can be highways, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure projects. They also help in planning, designing, and building commercial, industrial, residential, and land development projects. Moreover, they may collect or test materials from the construction site, and observe the project. Upon completion of the degree requirements, students will receive a Diploma Degree – (Associate of Science) in Civil Engineering Technology. As part of an articulation agreement between ACM and AUM, graduates of Civil Engineering Technology will be eligible to pursue a Bachelor’s degree from AUM and become Civil Engineers. ACM will keep on upgrading its offerings with additional programs that match the current and future demand of the industry, and equipping students with the necessary and relevant theoretical and practical skills.
