Degree Requirements

The Diploma in Business Administration – Human Resources Management concentration degree requires a total of a 60 credit hours and a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00.

  • Business Core Requirements (18 credit hours):
    (3) ACT 200, (3) ECO 200, (3) BUS 250, (3) MKT 210, (3) FIN 200, (3) BUS 201
  • Human Resources Management Concentration Requirements (18 credit hours):
    (3) HRM 200, (3) HRM 210, (3) HRM 220, (3) HRM 240, (3) HRM 290, (3) HRM 295
  • Math, Science and Technology Requirements (9 credit hours):
    • Quantitative Reasoning (6 credit hours):
      (3) MAT 100, (3) MAT 150
    • Technology (3 credit hours):
      (3) ICT 100
  • Liberal Arts Requirements (15 credit hours)
    • English Language and Communication Skills (9 credit hours):
      (3) ENGL 100, (3) ENGL 106, (3) COM 114
    • General Education Requirement (GEE) (6 credit hours): Students must satisfy the requirements of the General Education as per the following conditions:
      1. Courses must be drawn from the Liberal Arts Department and from the General Education areas below (refer to the Liberal Arts Department section in ACM Course Catalogue).
      2. The General education areas are defined as:
        1. English Language and Communications Skills
        2. Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing
        3. Humanistic and Artistic Ways of Knowing
        4. Interdisciplinary Ways of Knowing
      3. Courses may also be drawn from math, science, and professional elective courses as offered by ACM and with the Dean’s permission.
      4. Courses that are already required under another category than General Education Elective, cannot be considered as a GEE course.
      5. ACM has the right to advise a student on a specific course under the GEE category.
