Degree Requirements

The Diploma in Computer Network Systems requires a total of a 66 credit hours and a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00.

  • Technology Core Requirements (33-34 credit hours)
  • Mathematics and Science Requirements (9 – 10 credit hours)
  • Interdisciplinary Selective Requirements (3 credit hours)
    (3) ECET 224 or (3) MAT 175
  • Business Selective (3-6 credit hours)
    (3) BUS 250, (3) CNS 200, (3) ACT 150
  • Liberal Arts Requirements (13-17 credit hours)
    • English Language and Communication Skills (9 credit hours):
      (3) ENGL 100, (3) ENGL 106, (3) COM 114
    • General Education Requirement (GEE) (4-8 credit hours):
      Students must satisfy the requirements of the General Education as per the following conditions:
      1. Courses must be drawn from the Liberal Arts Department and from the General Education areas below (refer to the Liberal Arts Department section in ACM Course Catalogue).
      2. The General Education areas are defined as follows:
        1. English Language and Communications Skills
        2. Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing
        3. Humanistic and Artistic Ways of Knowing
        4. Interdisciplinary Ways of Knowing
      3. Courses may also be drawn from math, science, and professional elective courses as offered by ACM and with the Dean’s permission.
      4. Courses that are already required under a category other than General Education Elective, cannot be considered as a GEE course.
      5. ACM has the right to advise a student on a specific course under the GEE category.
